The rocks are hard.
My feet are bare.
Where is the sand?
It was everywhere.
I need to hurry,
A very strong urge,
Watching the creatures scurry
Before the strong surge.
The Ocean, a Sea
With waves now rising.
Up to my knees.
The dream is over,
I'm awake in bed.
Why are my feet wet?
Dry is my head.
Another dream, with emotion
When I see the beautiful Ocean.

I have all my new writings
in this notebook of mine,
which I need enter into the PC.
So many words; so little time,
as I continue to write them
again, one more time.

The words are flying from my head,
although I am still laying in bed.
A site of words, elusive they are,
lay on the covers, near and far.
What can I do to retrieve them now,
except to rack my brain? I will avow
to reach out from within my mind,
hoping upon hope I can still find,
all the words, now missing from memory.
I'll keep reaching out until the end of me.

How many days?
How many miles,
Do I have to drive
To see your Smiles?

I would rise in the morning,
to play golf before, my days work
started. My friends and I could play,
nine holes before we were due
at work. I managed a small Catalog Sales Office,
for Sears Roebuck, in Prosser Washington.
I recall, there were only three of us,
but I digress.
We had a friend, who played with us
quite frequently, but on this day, he was
at work. His work flying a Crop Duster.
The plane was a modified Piper Cub.
We were on the 9th green, putting. Our friend
flew low, to "buzz" us. I recall he was low
enough for someone to put their club in the a
air and hit a wheel strut.
Great memories from those early "Golf" days
still remain. I have lost touch with too many
of my friends, from the time some 60 years ago.

Thank you Lord
for allowing me to write
of words to expound
on my actions so trite.
Thank you to Kudos'
for providing the means
to write about now
and life in my teens.

I'm thinking about
getting a new car,
but do I want to
at this age, where I am?
For some day in the near future,
it will most certainly be,
when a loved one, I know
will take my drivers license from me.

Looking out the window,
there's no trace of Moon glow,
just the street light reflection
from the wet streets, below.
Is this another overcast, rainy day,
or will we see the Sun later today?

My mind selects words, hither and yon.
You're my soul mate and you are gone,
Away from being so close to me.
Your presence is here and I see,
The loveliest vision in this broad land;
My love is yours, without a command.
Stay with me please; forever this time
For I haven't the words for this to rhyme.

The shrill cry of a Seagull,
with the loud noise of the Sea,
brings back the sounds and smells
from the depth of my memory.
The feeling of wet sand 'tween my toes,
recalls the chill and a runny nose.
I'm up this morning, on the beach,
seeing children playing; dogs at their feet.
A relaxing view, as I hurry along;,
now searching for some more words,
I'm still hearing from an old song.
What pleasure the thoughts bring to me,
recalling my last visit and the smell of the Sea.

The warmth of your hand,
caresses my brow,
causing a pause.
The part of my mind
where my memories are.
The remains of the past,
come back to me,
as I recall our life's
journey, once more.
You don't remember;
I do, of course.
When we were
much, much younger
and the sound of your
voice. I fought back
my tears for the
time in our life's
memories are in arrears.

He went down the path.
An old trail to some,
Towards a place of adventure,
which was yet to come.
A road, he could see,
could very soon become,
a date with his destiny.
He came to the edge
of a wide canyon below.
Venturing forth now, with eland;
down life's trail he went
to become a new man.
The trail he trod,
was his most recent challenge.
A challenge, from his God.
Be a kind person,
the rest of your life.
Provide care to others
as well as your wife.
For her I will be,
the pillar of her strength,
doing it now, for I love thee.
