Charles IV of Luxembourg is crowned King of the Romans (German King) in Bonn on November 26, 1346 by Archbishop Balduin of Trier. His coronation was supported by his father and Pope Clement VI, marking his rise as rival king to Louis IV. He became the Holy Roman Emperor later in 1355.
