Kings Rudolf I of Germany and Otakar II of Bohemia sign a peace treaty.In November 1276,. The treaty, is often called the Treaty of Vienna. Under this agreement, Ottokar II was compelled to renounce his claims to Austria, Styria, Carinthia, and Carniola, retaining only Bohemia and Moravia.
The treaty proved to be a short "uneasy peace," Ottokar was eventually defeated and killed at the Battle on the Marchfeld on August 26, 1278.
