if you're not there.
There will be no tomorrow
or a love to share.
Be safe my love,

for in the morrow
I'll wait for thee.

When I think of you
and all the things
we used to do.

This is the time of year
when I would like a fire near.
A fire that is burning bright
To defend against the chill of night.

The crying of a Seagull;
The musty smell of the Sea
Creates a picture, in my mind
Of Beauty, sea spray and tranquility.

"What comes next?", she said to me.
"For I must leave this place of We
to go to a home, that I know will be,
a place where they will take care of me."

She knows me but not my name,
though in her mind, still does remain
the sweet person that she used to be.
Please dear God, let her remain with me.

Unshackle my mind,
please set it free,
to release all these words,
stuck inside of me.
These words that I hear
and will often mutter,
are mostly clear;
said without a stutter.
Where are they now,
I would like to know?
Please tell me when
so that I can soon go
to another place, lost in my mind
where others aren't treated unkind.

Down in the meadow, under the tree
Is the place that love first came to me.
A sheltered spot, staying cool in the Sun,
When my true love and I became one.
My love for you is strong as can be
As I will always take care of thee.

I hear the wind in the Maples.
Branches rubbing about.
A freshet is with us
Of that there's no doubt.
Light rain is falling
On this protected lair
And I hope that the weather
Will soon turn quite fair.

The end of Summer.
A brand new Fall.
Another season,
As I recall,
The leaves soon
Will be aglow,
When Nature starts
It's beautiful show.
Reds, orange, yellow, brown
A great display
For all to view.
I love this annual
Cycle that ensues.
The wind will freshen.
Leaves will fall
As Winter approaches;
We know it will,
When the temperature drops
And we get a chill.

I love you dear, I really do,
No matter what you say to me.
When you say, " I'm such an idiot."
I'll say, "that's not true",
For your behavior, is not yours.
It's the disease that ruins the mind,
Taking away your thoughts and words.
A terrible thing, is what I see,
As I pray to God to please help thee.
Nothing in the years, long behind
Have prepared us for these days, unkind.
Books or meetings just can't say
Why our lives can change this way.
I'll keep praying and keep you warm
And not let life cause you more harm.

The glowing dot of an ember,
as the flame starts to dance
and the wood starts to smolder
with the fire's new romance.
