Rising up, in early light
with bits of joy and sorrow,
as days go by
and nights do pass,
into a new tomorrow
and so it is, as days go by,
as nights go yon and hither,
while age descends,
upon our minds
and flesh begins to wither.

I miss you so, my sweet delight.
May I visit you now? Spend the night?
We'll talk again, like years before
of love, life and evermore.
My love for you is not disdain
but one of our life's long refrain.
The memories we shared about our past
was meant to be one that would last.
Let me be with you on this night
and we will both know, it is right.

The midnight hour,
a passing glance,
a new beginning
for a romance.
Why'd this happen,
was it a dance?
Or merely fate,
that brought the chance.

For the loves I've lost
and won't forget,
are the loves to come
that I've never met.

The days, once long, are now quite brief.
The heat from Summer, gone with relief.
The Fall, we know, now does appear.
The shrubs and tree branches, are clear.
The leaves that were amassed in trees,
Are on the ground, up to my knees.
Fallen leaves to be raked, once again,
Before the Fall's continual rain.

The narrow path winds through the trees,
Filled with doubts and life's uncertainties.

Joined together or be apart?
A good question for the heart.
Do we stand alone or with another?
Time will tell, Sisters and Brothers.
Off we go into a life of pain.
Away from love's sad refrain.
I care not about the fate of me,
Just leave me now. Let me be.

The burning bush of light and flame
Creates a need for me to explain.
It's not the fear from the bush ablaze,
But the lack of love, that does amaze.
Why all the hate in this World today,
When those that hate should go away.
Away from those different than thee
Letting the love of others be..

Would that I could feel your pain
as my love for you will remain
by your side, until our goodbye.
Keeping you safe from harm, I'll try.

Words a flutter, through the air.
Words that are said with little care.
Words that hurt, but you're unaware.
Words can't be withdrawn, being there.
Words are of love and of hate.
Words are those when we relate.
Words for today become tomorrows disarray.
Words of sorrow, for those we pray.

Here sit I
naked to thee.
My leaves all gone,
much like a tree,
but lest just suppose
that's not me
for I am a Rose,
dormant to see.

I await you now.
I await you still.
No matter when,
I always will
Be there for you
Both here and then
For you are now
My life long friend.
