What a day it was
back when we were young.
Trying to make a living,
every day in the Sun.

Do you remember when
we made a dollar a day?
My first job was pulling
weeds, $.10 an hour.

A year later working on
a stationery hay baler,
I made up to $35. a day,
if we were baling Alfalfa.

Good memories of long
ago times, when you worked
hard for one thin dime.
Tell me your story, please.

When the Angel of Death,
flies out to the Sea,
is she looking for someone?
Is she looking for thee?

Live life to the fullest,
live as long as you can,
for when life is over,
you will then understand.

Fly to the river.
Fly to the Moon.
You'll look forever,
we'll see each other, soon.

I have slept with
women, in another life led.
There is no fear of intimacy,
withing this elderly head.

So please tell me,
what fear should there be,
when all whom I meet,
I compare them to thee.

It's not fair,
I know it now,
but this is a new game
to play and I know not how.

Are birds, good luck,
or must we pretend,
until our lives,
come to an end?

If I talk about a pigeon,
but don't mention a dove,
is that sacrilegious,
if I don't talk about Love?

Owls are wise,
in many ways,
While eagles rise
to the top of the haze.

Love is warmth.
Enjoy when available/

When the Devil's dog,
whales at a Banshee moon,
it may have indicated, the time,
of the bloody doom.

A doom, a legend,
and nothing more.
A time to repent,
if you're keeping score.

Go from here,
you foolish child.
Gamble your life,
for a long while.

Return to here,
where they don't keep score,
keep wandering the earth,
for evermore.

My mind is gone,
it's now ablaze,
with obscure thoughts,
a cloudy haze.

It has been like this,
for the past few days,
as I ponder what
is this, a new phase?

How did we get the way we are?
What unknown part of me,
is the result of my hereditary?

There are many words,
I will write here for you.
You may send them in, Not.
The choice is up to you.

Think not conscientiously,
of what you want to say,
just spit them out, then,
you can shout, Hip, hip hooray.

We wonder about the unknown.
It raises many questions.

There are those we know who
made the greatest sacrifice.
