White, rushing water,
over moss covered stones.
Hurrying, pushing into
downhill, narrowed,
moss covered walls,
under fallen trees,
into a pool
of calming, flat,
mirrored water.

Over before it started.
Waves, crashing the shore.
Salty spray fills the air.
I love the smell of the sea,
and the echoing calls of the gulls.
I need more.

Up with the birds,
at Dawns early light.
No reason, I know,
just seemed right.

Whimsical ways,
we are what we are,
No matter how close,
Whether near or far.

Gossamer colors,
floating, through air,
blossoming sunlight,
now everywhere.

High, colored clouds,
suddenly appear,
as sun-streaked horizons,
brighten and disappear.

Animals moving at night
in a darkness still,
avoiding a danger,
which could kill.

Sunshine,
a magic formula,
mood booster.
Not bad,
what the Dr. ordered.

How easy it is to be happy.
From the gloom of a PNW day
to sunshine, to enjoy
as life continues.

The days grow nigh,
extending the light,
as days grow longer,
shortening the night.

It started with an ember,
a small, red glow,
enmeshed in the tinder,
flames beginning to grow.

Dry brush, under trees,
a kindling awaiting heat,
to stoke the flame, on wood,
the fire wants to eat.

It's started now, in forests
across the state of ours,
and will end in loss of lives,
after men work, hours and hours.

Longer the day,
moving from Spring
to Summer.
Not enough rain.

Floated the Butterfly,
amongst the blooms.
Flitting to and fro,
searching for nectar.

A pleasant scene,
to roam so free
with a sweet reward,
made just for thee.

A morning mist,
kissed the trees,
vanished, blown by
the early breeze.

Long were the rays,
of the setting Sun,
a sprinkling light,
another day done.
