Sitting in the courtyard,
among the shrubs and flowers.
It is so pleasant here
I could spend hours and hours.

Sun falling slower,
than honey from a spoon.
Sunset can't arrive here,
any time real soon.

When the Sun slowly rises
from the mountains in the East,
it is the magic time for,
man, child, or beast.

No other time in this life
will ever be the best,
except when the Sun sets,
in the Pacific Northwest.

In Oregon and California, efforts to repopulate these furry engineers could revive struggling ocean ecosystems. More at Reasons to be Cheerful ➜

Radiated rays
of cloudy gray,
creeping out,
now on display

of flowers seen,
by others too,
who knew not
of what was left to do.

Low the wind,
through the trees,
mellow is the feeling,
a cooling summer breeze.

Blazing lights
attacked my eyes.
A cosmic disturbance,
from out the skies.

Colors of red and green,
flashing lights,
as thunder clashed,
late Spring aerial fights.

Colorful clouds,
a rainbow array.
Natures painting,
a beautiful way.

Rain in June.
It's cold today.
Too early to put
your umbrella away.

Tomorrow, the first
day of Summer,
with a forecast of rain.
A disappointment. Bummer.

Splashes of water
over polished stone,
a relaxing noise,
for I was alone.

The riches of smells
of fresh delight,
a reality of
pure delight.

Those lazy, hazy,
days of summer,
will soon appear,
6\21, Summer Solstice is here.
