Herod the Great dies, according to historical calculations by some scholars.
Third Crusade: Crusaders massacre the Jewish population of York, England.
The Battle of Burton Bridge takes place during the Despenser War in England between Thomas, 2nd Earl of Lancaster and his cousin King Edward II of England during the Despenser War, from 7 to 10 March 1322. Lancaster attempted to scape but was eventually captured at the battle of Boroughbridge on March 16, 1322 and later executed on the King's orders.
Lancaster's defeat temporarily removed the threat to Edward's rule, but the King's unpopularity with his barons led to his forced abdication to the throne in favor of his son Edward III.

The Galapagos Islands are discovered by chance on March 10, 1535 when the ship carrying the Bishop of Panama, Dominican friar Fray Tomas de Berlanga was dragged to the Galapagos by a combination of calm and strong currents. Berlanga was on his way to Peru by order of the Spanish monarch, Charles V, to arbitrate in a dispute between Francisco Pizarro and his subordinates after the conquest of the Inca empire.

The Battle of Fort Prince George: British forces defeat the French during King George's War.
Alexander Graham Bell makes the first transmission of intelligible speech over electrical wires . He called out to his assistant Thomas Watson, “Mr. Watson, come here! I want to see you.” This transmission took place in their attic laboratory located in a near here at 5 Exeter Place. Alexander Graham Bell transmitted the first words by telephone, to his assistant in another room. Bell had received his patent for for the telephone, three days earlier on 7 March 1876. More
China becomes a republic after the abdication of the last Emperor, Puyi.
Tibetans rebel in Lhasa against the Chinese government which had invaded Tibet in1950. Chinese troops launched a counter-offensive against the Tibetans ,capturing Lhasa and resulting in the deaths of some 2,000 Tibetan rebels. The Chinese government dissolved the Tibetan government headed by the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama assumed control of the Tibetan government on April 5, 1959. The Dalai Lama and some 80 supporters fled into exile to India. Some 87,000 Tibetans and 2,000 Chinese government troops were killed, and some 100,000 Tibetans fled as refugees to India, Nepal, and Bhutan during the conflict.
