Napoleon’s forces are defeated by the Sixth Coalition at the Battle of Paris and the Coalition forces (Russia, Prussia, Austria), entered the city on March 31, 1814, leading to Napoleon’s abdication on April 2, 1814. and his exile to Elba.
The Allies restored the Bourbon monarchy, leading to the return of Louis XVIII. Napoleon returned to power briefly in 1815. "the "Hundred Days", but was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo on June 18, 1815, leading to the coalition forces entering Paris again.
