The fate of this nation,

I pray to my God above,

To forgive my friends who
Voted Red and didn't vote Blue.
We all err, it's what we do.
To correct an error, it's up to you.

The ball will bounce
any direction.
A bouncing ball is
not perfection.
So be prepared for the
bounce results,
for it may only
bring insults.

NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day:

On July 23, this Long March 5 heavy-lift rocket rose into a blue morning sky from China's Hainan Island Wenchang Satellite Launch Center. The rocket carried an orbiter, lander, and rover to ask Heavenly Questions on the ambitious Tianwen-1 mission to Mars. In fact Tianwen-1 was the second of three missions scheduled for a July departure to the Red Planet. The United Arab Emirates launched its Amal (Hope) Mars probe on July 19. NASA's launch of its Mars Perseverance Rover from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, USA is scheduled for July 30. That is the last planned Mars launch for 2020 though. The minimum-energy launch window for an expedition to Mars is coming to a close in 2020 and will reopen in 2022. Comet NEOWISE images from planet Earth: July 24, 23, 22

She sang to me
with voice refine.
A song of love

I was weeding the garden
when I heard the sound,
a lovely young voice,
it did astound.

A teenage girl
with hair a swirl
sang to me
with voice so free.
I laughed to my self
for I was amused,
by the sound of her voice
and the song she did choose.

A rite of passage
and old refrain.
Why is it now,
I can't remember your name?

Far across the meadow,
Beneath the Willow tree,
Became the place,
So dear to me.
A place to play,
And run around,
With children's laughter,
The only sound.
When life's discovery,
First came to be,
Underneath the beautiful
Weeping Willow Tree.

NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day:

The multi-mirror, 17 meter-diameter MAGIC telescopes reflect this starry night sky from the Roque de los Muchachos European Northern Observatory on the Canary Island of La Palma. MAGIC stands for Major Atmospheric Gamma Imaging Cherenkov and the telescopes can see the brief flashes of optical light produced in particle air showers as high-energy gamma rays impact the Earth's upper atmosphere. On July 20, two of the three telescopes in view were looking for gamma rays from the center of our Milky Way galaxy. In reflection they show the bright stars of Sagittarius and Scorpius near the galactic center to the southeast. Beyond the segmented-mirror arrays, above the northwest horizon and below the Big Dipper is Comet NEOWISE. NEOWISE stands for Near Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer. That's the Earth-orbiting satellite used to discover the comet designated C/2020 F3, but you knew that. Stay away from People.
Large crowds, do avoid.
Act as if you lived
on an asteroid,
plummeting through the sky.
For this we believe,
is the way to be
and how we must live.
There is no need
to be with people, near,
so we live out our life
in a great, health fear,
of contracting a virus;
some say we could,
but avoiding everyone,
how can that be good?
Not good for socializing,
is certainly the word
for not seeing family
is just simply absurd.

The days of youth
have passed us by.
Tell me please,
why oh why?
The fun filled days
of trips to Europe,
a place to stay,
lockdown is now,
what is to say?
It's just another
groundhog day.

Some kind of stupid,
if you still say,
things are better now
in the U S of A.
So many lives lost.
So much to do.
Now you say,
your working on
a strategy too.
It's been almost
one half a year
and the only thing
is you, I fear.
What kind of person?
What kind of man?
Are you saying now,
you have a plan?
