Forego the future,
Forget the past.
Forge the moment,
Find love fast.

Long lay the grass,
up to his knees,
outstanding in his field
of old broken dreams.
Pursue not the love,
which you'll find on display,
just go out and play
on the beautiful day.
Life is short to worry, so
start living again,
and begin a new show.

For naught the word
said in jest,
For time is gone,
our memories rest.

How is life today?
Can love overcome it all?
When those hurtful feelings
have come to call?

Can we still love today,
after broken promises
are back to stay?

Please tell me,
I need to know,
if love will fail
or continue to grow.

When days of old
are young again,
will be the time,
for "Let's pretend."
Pretend to fine,
your lost youth,
a body supple,
not long of tooth.
No aches or pain,
to mar the joy
of being again
young girl and boy.
So now, wish upon
the tree of love
and pray some more,
to your God above.

For all I see,
for all I know,
there is a hurt,
a long time ago.
A pain is felt,
but does not show,
as it's from a scar,
a long time ago.

Grey were the clouds,
clinging to the trees,
dampening the forest floor,
awaiting a new dawn,
bringing light to the night,
as we begin a new day.
What new adventure awaits?
What old problems, to solve?

All dressed in black,
with much golden bling,
earrings dangling from lobes,
'twas a beautiful thing.

Where is the love,
where is the joy,
of a relationship
between a girl and boy?

Long live the light,
long live the day,
we embark on our journey,
joining in the fray.

A battle of words,
sets the tone
in writing,
when living alone.
There is no joy,
which I can see,
when you aren't here,
living with me.

Our days are numbered
in this World we live.
Keep out the hate,
life is too short.
Love one another,
respecting other views.
Disagreements are fine,
you may win or lose.
