"Pain is something most people experience after an injury, whether from a sprained ankle, surgery or car accident. Normally pain fades as the body heals. But it may last longer in women than in men, making women more likely to develop chronic pain". More at The Conversation ➜

Groundhog Day, is a popular North American tradition observed in the United States and Canada on February 2. The weather lore was brought from German-speaking areas where the badger (German: Dachs) is the forecasting animal. This appears to be an enhanced version of the lore that clear weather on the Christian festival of Candlemas forebodes a prolonged winter. As the tradition goes, if a groundhog emerges from its burrows on this day and sees its shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den and winter will go on for six more weeks; if it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early. While the tradition remains popular, studies have found no consistent association between a groundhog seeing its shadow and the subsequent arrival time of spring-like weather. In the U.S , the most popular Groundhog ceremony is held at Punxsutawney in western Pennsylvania, centering on a semi-mythical groundhog named Punxsutawney Phil. Other cities in the United States and Canada also have adopted the event. More

No Grave
No grave to day,
to dance upon,
so you may choose
to move along.
Come back tomorrow,
if you must dance,
for I am certain,
you'll have another chance.
I Talk
I talk of pain.
I like it not.
It feels it will break,
but am afraid it's naught.
My Body
My body,
has turned away,
from my special journey.
I'm on my way.
Last night, I thought,
I was gone.
Perhaps, it's now?
Who can tell,
as my soul is gone
a highway, I know well,
a ancient road,
to Perdition, Hell.

Now!
Now!
When the pain,
within this shell,
becomes too much,
it's time to tell.
Saying words,
not good for me,
but good,
for their own necessity.
I am dying.
I feel it now.
I must fulfill,
my promised vow.
Life is a Gamble
So, what are the odds?
We scurry through life,
in a race, just a blur, while wondering
about a direction, which we knew was absurd.
Are we alert to our happenings,
which in abandon
where they lay,
or would you rather move on,
and stay out of the way?
I've Walked
I've walked the,
dark and nasty trail,
in this so crazy life,
I cannot reveal,
what a mess to me,
to be where I'm not free.
Not to be a whining one,
for I see what I see.
When Everyday Objects
When everyday objects,
begin to fall off the wall,
will that be enough,
will that be all,
or is it a prelude of,
what happens soon,
as we cover our fate,
with a perpetual gloom?
