Word of the Day 08/20/24: freckles
What Happens Tomorrow
What happens tomorrow,
if the Sun never comes.
Will I still be breathing,
will I become the one?
You can't predict the future.
These words ring true, for me,
for if I could, I would find,
the beautiful, lovely thee.
Why speculate about,
a day which may never come
for no matter what happens,
my time will be done.
Is Life as Strange as it Seems
Is life as strange
as it seems,
or is this just another,
case of perpetual dreams?
I don't know,
and will not reply,
for if I do,
perhaps, I will die.
From Edge of Light
From edge of light,
on an Autumn morn,
new love takes flight,
while you're reborn.
May you walk through,
shadowed fields, unfazed,
until you achieve,
you're best of days.
May worry never find you,
in a place of anywhere,
when your soul vanishes,
into the Spring air.
IC 5146: The Cocoon Nebula • 08/19/24
NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day:
Inside the Cocoon Nebula is a newly developing cluster of stars. Cataloged as IC 5146, the beautiful nebula is nearly 15 light-years wide. Soaring high in northern summer night skies, it's located some 4,000 light years away toward the constellation of the Swan (Cygnus). Like other star forming regions, it stands out in red, glowing, hydrogen gas excited by young, hot stars, and dust-reflected starlight at the edge of an otherwise invisible molecular cloud. In fact, the bright star found near the center of this nebula is likely only a few hundred thousand years old, powering the nebular glow as it clears out a cavity in the molecular cloud's star forming dust and gas. A 48-hour long integration resulted in this exceptionally deep color view tracing tantalizing features within and surrounding the dusty stellar nursery.

“Drama is just reality with the boring bits taken out.”
Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock KBE (1899 – 1980) was an English film director, known as the "Master of Suspense". He is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the history of cinema having directed over 50 feature films over his 60 year career. Hitchcock became as well known as any of his actors thanks to his many interviews and his cameo appearances in most of his films. Although he never won the award for Best Director, despite five nominations, his films garnered 46 Academy Award nominations, including six wins.
A Jabberwocky
A Jabberwocky, is a bird,
of mystical origins.
Do you support it in your head,
if we think without precision?
What happens now,
to all of us,
if we don't love our way?
A short ride under the bus,
and you will see,
the end of the USA.
It's not up to those in power,
to take our freedom away,
Complacency, will do that,
in every single way.
Stand up America,
God Bless the USA.

When Ground Fog
When the cool ground fog,
rises on a summer morn.
It projects an image
of being reborn.
A coolness descends,
on the morning light,
shadows shrink,
dawn replaces night.
A pleasant place,
a life to be,
as we age,
our memories flee.

When Love Returns
When love returns,
to your heart,
it will bring,
recommitting of life's part,
which will elude us,
everyday,
before you know it,
love has gone away.
There are no thoughts,
in this old head,
about the rites of Spring,
just I'm no longer dead.
Times Were Bad (V)
Times were bad,
nothing to be said,
when you're not here,
I won't be afraid.
You're a beacon,
in the life of this man.
I value our friendship,
as I always can.
