My mind, spends so much time,
In the process of trying to rhyme
And so, I will write more
Free form, as it takes less time.

From where came I, he asked of me?
I know not, of what you say
And can not answer your question, willingly.
I only know, what's, on this day.

The storm is here, I hear the thunder,
The winds and rain, put us asunder,
As water's rise, to flood our town,
Doing my best, trying not to drown.
Praying to God, "Oh let us be"
And save all, from the finality
Of life, on this most ravaged space,
And not see again, your beautiful face.

Another night, another dance,
Another chance, for romance.
The plight of an aging man,
Trying to capture his life again.

I say this, not as a jest,
As my worries, start to manifest
And I see, both near and far,
That you know not where you are
Or what locations, that are so near,
No longer exist and now, do disappear,
From your memory, which once was grand
But can not provide location, on demand.
What actions, can I try or do,
To make this journey, easier for you?
My heart, is being wrenched from within
And my sanity, is now stretched thin.
What plan has God, made for thee?
For at this moment, I cannot see,
What an outcome, that will become part
Of our life, tearing apart my heart.
Dear God, please help get me through,
This painful process, of what to do.
Prayer and thoughts, to you I say,
No longer keep my fears at bay

I love the flowers, in the Spring,
When the temperature, does start to climb,
While all the song birds, that sing,
Does make the joy of life, sublime.

There can be no ending,
Without a beginning,
At least, that's what I say.
There can be no tomorrow,
Without a yesterday.

With all the wind, came the rain,
To soak the ground, around the flowers,
With an occasional ray of Sun, through
A window pane, gave promise of showers,
Mixed with Sun breaks with no disdain
Of the picnics that last for hours.

I would rather laugh today
And worry not, about tomorrow,
For laughter, is the best way,
Not grief, agony or sorrow.

There is a recluse, inside of me,
That is trying hard, to be set free.
I desire to let everyone know,
But I can't, just can't let it go.

I'm such a coward,
I can't face mortality.
Afraid of losing my
Love, to life's finality.

My Soul, of glass,
Lies shattered,
At my feet.

In another life,
I will try hard,
To be better
Than this.
To leave a mark
Of a lasting accomplishment.

Ego's come,
Ego's go.
Where to?
I do not know.

No matter what you say,
No matter what you do,
The only thing that matters,
Is what it does to you.
For you are the most important.
For all the World to see,
That only you alone, can change,
The way the World, is meant to be.
