Music may soothe,
the most savage of beast
but for me, it's the food:
which are served at a Feast.

I awaken, in the darkest of night,
my body, atremble .
I should arise, to write once more,
but I need the sleep,
of a newborn child,
loud, raucous, wailing away,
saying, "please feed me."

He laughed, as he wrote,
it came deep from the throat.
His personal joke, was a note
written by him; memorized by rote.
Alone am I, stuck in life's boat,
look what happens, when you fail to vote.

Stand and deliver.
A stand of trees
or to stand up,
or stand
if you please.
A night stand.
To stand by
or a fruit stand,
to be or just
stand next to me.
A deer stand
up in a tree.
I understand what
it may be to thee.
To take a stand
and stand for your beliefs.
Stand once more
before you kneel to me.

If a kitten meows,
when in the Mews,
does the owl hoot
and still say who?
If a horse, says neigh,
while the cow says moo
and the pig says oink,
unlike me and you.
If a ewe bleats, baa,
as most of them do,
why does a chicken cluck
when a rooster crows,
why does a crow, caw?
No one knows.
When a duck quacks loudly,
is it because its nose,
is part of its beak?
When a goat starts to bleat,
startling the goose, who honks,
I'm not sure what to say,
when the doves start to coo.
We all make sounds, unique,
so what sounds are common for you?

Can you love another,
as if she is your mother?
Someone I know, younger than I
gives me cookies, cake
and other food stuff.
She gives me no reason
for her words are few.
I sometimes feel like an adopted child
and my thoughts are very mild.
It's not romantic, in anyway,
but the way I am treated; I'll say
"Love the attention, at any age,
especially when treated
like an ancient, old Sage.

Beads of sweat,
appeared on his forehead,
ran down his nose
onto his chin,
dropping on his toes.
Working hard in the
heat of the day
to earn a living
and have money to play.

She had a voice,
one so shrill,
like fingernails on a chalkboard.
A sound which would chill
the strongest soul of a man.

She approached the man
from the rear.
Placed her hand close
to his left ear,
"I feel blessed", she said,
"to find you still here.
Do you want me to stay
or should I disappear?"

A dog, a cat and a horse
named Blue.
Sat in the meadow with
nothing to do.
The cat hit the dog
with it's open paw,
then hopped on the horse,
with a "Yippee Kayoo"
and rode into the sunset,
looking for you.

Does it matter
when I miss writing
on a page, as my
hands are a tremble?
A volunteer movement,
what ever it means,
when your hand will shake
if your grip is loose.
A staccato of noise,
a rattling plate,
to see the movement,
of shimmy and shake.
Nothing to be concerned about
my Doctor states.
It's just a reaction,
so do not fear,
it will still be there
the following year.

She wore lovely shoes,
on those beautiful feet.
They kept her toes warm
and dry; a great treat,
for when it rained here,
as it is want to do,
her paws remained dry;
this companion to you.
