Walking the edge
of our life's needs,
doing tasks when
well intentioned deeds.

A vaulted ceiling,
a secluded place.
Will I once again,
see your face?

Too much to ask,
for, I must guess,
if I don't ask
you will never say yes.

Good day today.
Month and day
total seven.
The year is in play.

A numerical array
to now leaven,
adding month and day,
add the year = seven.

Long lay the truths
in weed strewn doubt.
Don't be docile,
scream and shout.

For love of country,
he sacrificed his life,
to defend his love
for friends and wife.

What makes a man,
who sacrifices his world,
to serve all others,
man, woman, boy or girl?

I await in breathless
anticipation,
to see
your bright
smile.

My minds
a mess.
Seeing you
makes me
smile.

What can I
say to help
you understand,
your value,
in this crazy
world of
power hungry
men?

Is it wrong to ask
someone to remove their mask,
allowing me to see
their face? May I ask?

Want not the World.
Avoid any bad scene,
the love in the World
has turned into mean.

A cynical view
of what is today.
Caution is the word.
Heed what I say.

What value do we place on human Life?
Not much, when you think about those
in the Ukraine or on our Southern border.
Human indignities, are not strangers to
us. Yet we continue to not take care of
those, citizens or not, who are homeless, for what
ever reason or excuse.
Is that what our humanity has become,
"Do unto others, before they do it to you?"
We say, "Trust in God", yet here we are,
in these squalid parts of the World abusing
others. Tell me please, why does a Just God
allow this to continue?

Empty halls,
echoing with
ghostly steps,
as schools
are closed
for a Holiday.
The spirits
of students, past
bring forth
new appreciation
of schools.
Places to learn,
developing new
leaders of
tomorrow.

White the roof,
snowing allowed,
waiting for
the Holiday crowd.
