Ashes, borne by the wind
with embers ablaze,
falling to grasses,
within the heavy haze.

A small puff of smoke,
like ink to a page,
thus, became another
California fire outrage.

So many lives ruined,
property loss, dismay,
cannot it be fixed
and be put away?

Is the vast loss of property,
more important than loss of life?
So much loss and suffering,
with unneeded strife.

Forget the day,
forget about me,
for I am over the hill,
on my way to eternity.

He lived under the old bridge,
for a little less than a year.
he frightened all travelers,
providing a mask of his fear.

Why must I live this way?
Sadly, no friend to play.
He was lonely, alone,
and couldn't go away.

All it takes
are forty winks,
for me to fall asleep,
waking up are forty blinks.

My minds alert,
my body says to sleep.
I only do that if
conversations get too deep.

I walk around in a daze,
a confusing mind, no peep.
Finding now there is no justice,
when your mind is half asleep.

He was working.
A good thing,
having a job,
to save money
towards a better
future, in life.

Have you ever lost your temper?
Do you even know how,
to lose your cool,
when someone breaks a vow?

Before daybreak,
at the onset of dawn,
I arise with sleepy eyes,
accompanied by a yawn.

Days speed by,
so readily,
my life is,
mostly adversity.

When I write for you,
I'll write in pen,
as pencil will fade away,
never knowing when.

What day, hath thy free?
A glorious, sunny day
exists for special people,
like you. Hoping you
have the chance to enjoy.

My mind has gone,
short to ground,
as brain cells fry,
there is no sound.

No more memories,
they've gone away,
to never return,
even if we pray.

Yet here I am
in fallen glory,
filled with grief,
another story.

I like music,
a melodic song,
stoking the flame,
of where I belong.

If I could
see you once more,
and tell you,
of my love, or

Is it just
a silly run,
when I know
love is done.
