I wish I had enough money to fund
every request I receive from all these
great organizations, but I don't.
Is this the best way to fund research
for Cancer, Alzheimer, Birth defects,
research. There are many organizations
who are very deserving of funds, but
these pockets are not deep, and I cannot
fund them.
What has this World come to?

Once upon a time,
in a land, far beyond,
where we live today,
came a new person.
Kate, with sparkling blue eyes,
a radiant smile and pleasant
personality.

How lucky can one be
to have met this person.
Nice to meet you, Kate.

My best wishes to you
as you embark on an
exciting adventure in
this new country.
God speed.

I sit with her
and reminisce,
about our years together.
I ask myself, why they
didn't last.

True it is, we had a good life.
She is the best and
my only wife.

Among the ruins,
of bygone days.
No more the victories,
no more the praise.

Should I lament,
no matter why,
or suck it up,
trying not to cry?

Chipping paint
and brush away.
Once it's all sanded,
use red lead and battleship grey.

Sitting with my beloved,
she's in her wheelchair.
I lean my head on
her neck and shoulder.

A quasi hug, brought me
a great amount of comfort.

How do I explain, that feeling
of close contact which exudes
comfort and well-being.
We hadn't hugged for 9 months.

I feel a pain, deep inside,
another broken heart.
It matters not the love I have,
for we still live apart.

Forever the guest.
No longer the host.
Home entertainment, was best
remembering those friends lost.

Along came a Spyder,
not an insect but a car.
French Blue in color,
it went fast and far.

A 1971, Fiat 124 Spyder,
two-seater, bench in back.
Two latches to drop the top,
with Arbarth Duals exhaust.

Prone to breakdown because
of a high R.P.M. during operation.
A joy to drive. Perfect for
my second childhood.

I love you,
more than when we first met.
Your courage and bravery,
as you fight in silence,
unable to communicate
or complain.
I am very proud of you
as you fight this losing battle.

Tell me not, how life will be,
for you do not know.
I am still here and will remain
to always be with you.

I feel broken.
My spirits were good.
My wife's wound is getting better,
I have been told.

I have been called a "Loner", in the past,
I suspect that is my tendency.
What I am feeling now,
is an extreme loss,
I've never felt it before.

There are people, I can talk to
and I frequently do.
I cannot describe this feeling.
I wish I could.
