You said "I love you."
Is this another lie?
For when you left,
there was no goodbye.

The words smacked
of the Devil
planting the seed
of all the debauchery
accompanied by greed.
Throw out the evil
seed within you,
for there is little time
on this Earth

My words
now written,
lay on the floor.
All were rejected;
won't be used anymore,
for my mind is vacant,
no thoughts grow there
is my latest recant.
Disappeared in the air.

I have searched the World over
trying to find
The person I lost who was
intelligent and kind.

I lost your memory,
in the vastness of space.
Were we connected, so long ago?
Worlds apart? I want to know.
I felt a tremble, when we first met
wasn't sure if we had yet,
the years and lives, from long ago,
are passed and will no longer show.
I feel strangely, if we've loved before.
Perhaps this is the feeling,
I spoke of before.
Do you believe in life after death?
I believe I do.
How about you?

How do you write,
when the sounds,
in your mind,
are interspersed with music,
emotionally entwined.
The music in the chamber
of this aged mind, seeps
as I hear the sound of
"As My Guitar Weeps",
with the harmony of voices
of Clapton and McCarthy ring
of our lives together
as they beautifully sing.

The winds of time lost, have returned,
back again, without a word about spurned
questions raised, of where has time gone.
When reflected on your past, in song,
a collection of words, from long ago,
about the loss of love. I know
no matter the order, lost in time,
I'll think of you always; as mine.
Not a possession or something once owned
but a time when we were both alone.

There are no words
to charm and beguile,
these thoughts of mine
when seeing your smile.

I awake with a start,
as there was a howl,
the bark of a dog,
the hoot of an Owl.
Why did I awake
at this time of the morn?
I do not know,
but I'm glad I did,
for a water pipe was leaking
and I heard the sound
of water running.
Check all the rooms,
until the last one,
where I found the floor wet.
I placed my hand where
the sound was heard
and my hand slipped
on the painted wall.
Went quickly to the
main shut off valve.
I removed the wall board
using a knife and small saw.
There it was. A small brad,
or nail to you, which had hit
the pipe many years ago
and had finally penetrated
to the point the water could
escape.
Love those Shop Vacuums
which suck up water.
Called a plumber the next
day and was back with a
hole to patch and repaint.
Oh the joy of being a
homeowner.

A thought will pop into my head,
It won't leave and will not shed.
The result becomes a slurry of words,
as I search, for the meaning of absurd.
Long will I write, as thoughts pour
through this head of mine, for
it won't be long, until I can
be shown the proverbial door.

I hear the bells
echo through alley and street,
A sound so eerie
it makes me retreat,
for as the bells now toll,
another life is gone,
yet our lives continue; some now alone.
Weep not for me, was once said,
at a time in the World when dread
became our feeling with tears to shed.

Be mine tonight, is a thought I hear,
but I now find, you are not here.
Is it a love missing from there?
No more the beauty, for all to share.
Why must all the lives be in disarray,
when all we want is a beautiful day?
