All it takes
are forty winks,
for me to fall asleep,
waking up are forty blinks.

My minds alert,
my body says to sleep.
I only do that if
conversations get too deep.

I walk around in a daze,
a confusing mind, no peep.
Finding now there is no justice,
when your mind is half asleep.

One of the most important
friend, whom I know,
acts the way you do,
when taking me to a show.

Very loud music,
is what it will be.
Now I'm not only deaf,
my eyes no longer see.

It started with an ember,
a small, red glow,
enmeshed in the tinder,
flames beginning to grow.

Dry brush, under trees,
a kindling awaiting heat,
to stoke the flame, on wood,
the fire wants to eat.

It's started now, in forests
across the state of ours,
and will end in loss of lives,
after men work, hours and hours.

My Love for you,
shows no bounds.
It's how I feel,
when you're around.

He was working.
A good thing,
having a job,
to save money
towards a better
future, in life.

Have you ever lost your temper?
Do you even know how,
to lose your cool,
when someone breaks a vow?

Yearning is a masterful way to start,
no matter where your life is now.
No matter where you may go,
persevere through the pain, somehow.

Is this the life I wanted?
Is this the life I yearned?
I wish it were all of those,
this life, was trashed and burned

Before daybreak,
at the onset of dawn,
I arise with sleepy eyes,
accompanied by a yawn.

At the end of the day,
when all was lost,
we measured the damage
of what was the cost.

No loss of life, is good,
some revenue lost,
money doesn't count,
people matter most.

Days speed by,
so readily,
my life is,
mostly adversity.

I tire of the madness,
of all the insanity,
surrounding my love,
a place I do not want to be.
