Hello, my lovely,
I said to her,
for her beauty
my heart did stir
and small talk poured
from my mouth.
As I rambled on,
with thoughts all gone,
as if numbed by Gin
and when no sound,
came from her lips,
I took a look, again
and found that I
had been talking to
an attractive mannequin.
Repeat
I know the sound ahead of me.
I know it very well.
It is that slippery road,
Descending straight into Hell.
A lonely tear ran down his cheek,
through his beard so white.
A wayward tear kept sliding down,
during this sad and lonely night.
The thought of love that will be lost,
no matter what you tried to do.
A thought so sad of she, on this day;
her life would soon be through.
Cast out the light.
Light up my mind.
Help me help others.
Help me be kind.
Lieing close beside you,
your shoulder pillows my head.
Wondering if God is missing
in this troubling life we've led.
Holding you, in my arms,
I listen to you breathe
and know how hard it'll be
when God says to leave.
The light in the window,
The wind as it sighs,
Reminds me of you
And the look in your eyes.
Your Soul is very precious,
Asking the questions of "Why's.
Why am I the
Way that I am?
Does my answer mean
I'm less than a man?
I care about you
And say every day,
What can I do
To take the emptiness away.
Happy New Year, darling.
May it be a better time,
full of joy and laughter,
singing Auld Lang Syne.
She knows me not.
I know her well.
My lovely wife's mind
Is in Dementia Hell.
Cunning, is the Fox,
laying in the field,
waiting, ever waiting
to catch its next meal.
Comes a mouse now,
scurrying on the grassy ground,
while the Fox, waiting patiently
makes nary a sound.
May the wind be at your back
as the Sun keeps poking through.
May faith and earthly fortune,
be the best for you.
Not your body, near
but loss of mind.
That is my fear.
What to do
on that day
when your mind
just slips away.
I lie in bed
near your side
and know my feelings
deep inside,
are one of fear
of what to do
for I know
I'm losing you.
