A symbol I see
away in the dark
of a bird that flutters.
A beautiful Lark.
The Lark with a
full sounding voice,
can make this old man's
mind still rejoice.

When the things we know
become so mundane.
When we peer from the window
at the Winter rain.
The coolness, is there
but there is no freeze.
Perhaps it is now.
Where is the breeze.
The bulbs of flowers, everywhere
are poking through the ground, so bare.
There will soon be a new display
of colors to view on the new day.

Her eyes reflected the blue of the sky.
Her hair was silken; you could see why.
Why does your skin have that beautiful shine?
When will you say you will be mine?
Your answer, I'm sure will not come soon,
As I was staring at the silvery Moon.
The Moon was my love; it was every night,
Until the Sun rose ending my sight
Of the loveliest orb in the evening sky.
Where are you going? Please tell me why,
When the Sun comes arising
And you say Goodbye.

"I'll wait for you,"
she told me before.
"I'll wait for you
at the end of Life's door."

"Live your life
as you did before
and I'll be here
for evermore.
I'll be waiting
at Heaven's door."

For want of life.
For want of fame.
You must learn
to play the game.

Off in the distance,
Across the vast pond,
Our ancestors, by chance,
Decided to come
to this wonderful place,
Both near and far,
For the prettiest face,
As I saw who you are.

The tilt of your head
when you are talking to me
contains all the joys,
I hoped to see.
Our friendship has been
a lifetime of trial,
as seeing your face
brightens my smile.
I must leave you now;
I'll be gone for awhile,
please wait, not for me
but do linger awhile.

A time to be seen.
A time to be heard.
A time to now dream.
A time for the word.

Forever the light,
but not anymore,
because it is fate
knocking on our door.

I never asked for riches or fame,
nor did I want a well know name.
Just give me peace and a Star:;
guide me to where you are.

How many a day,
how many a Moon,
will you still be here,
with us in the room?

a cold day, dreary
biting wind, rain again
fingers numb
