I wrote this before moving my beloved into
a Memory Care facility. I have modified some
of the quirks or rules I did not follow for the
benefit of the reader and the writer. Unfortunately,
I cannot modify the text. So you see what I wrote
03/19/2018.

Loneliness, a state,
of euphoric indifference.
Relationship not there,
Love's last, lonely remembrance.

When a love is lost,
no matter the cause.
How do you take heartache?
Placing it, on hold or pause?

No matter the time,
no matter the season,
a love lost may,
have many a reason.

Welcome to the World,
of misogynous and sorrow,
of omissions of memories,
about missing a woman tomorrow

Have we become,
too politically, correct?
Are there any other
barriers we can erect?

Building fences,
seems to be the thing,
keeping people out,
so, they don't bring,

problems to us,
want them or not.
Without fences,
you get what you got.

When the Sun, rises,
in the East,
we will see,
a visual feast.

To write of nothing,
makes little sense,
unless, of course,
you are quite dense.

A lost love,
or a love lost.
What are the burdens,
what is the cost?

To lose a love,
which wasn't yours,
but someone else's
It's your fault. Yours!

I love you,
I truly do,
but my love,
is not fair to you.

When hearts collide,
within this chapter of life,
with so many differences,
after losing my wife.

I find it strange to
address someone new,
when I'm still searching for
someone like you.

What do you do,
when faced with this task?
Talk to family and friends,
don't be afraid to ask.

Wayward the boy,
young lad, he.
Wayward the boy,
the boy was me.

Called a "Rowdy",
by some, when in town.
In reality, he was shy,
his pride not found.

Growing into life,
his maturity rose,
now he is known,
for his posture and poise.

Sometimes it's great,
to write from the shallows.
Not to pontificate about,
thoughts in short swallows.

I'm telling a story in words
really quite bland,
for the depth of my words,,
from a mindless, shallow man.

You are my friend,
my sweet Nancy May.
I'll love you forever,
forever and a day.

We shall get married,
going on our way,
to a small house,
not far away.

We will be happy,
as man and wife,
as we live our lives,
without any strife.

What must I do,
helping you understand,
you are the best thing
to happen, so grand.

No more the worry,
no more crying in bed,
because of something
stupid, I said.

I love you dearly,
truly I do,
for all to see.
I love you.

Absurdity, at its finest,
has brought me this far.
A long distance to walk,
when you don't own a car.

Will you understand,
will you even care,
when going through life,
completely unaware.

Unaware of life,
projected today,
full of false promises.
Don't promise to stay.

Go away someplace,
unknown to anyone,
enjoying your life,
when it is no longer fun.
