Clear, the air,
crisp the feel.
Late November,
almost surreal.

Pleasing the weather,
we had yesterday.
A need for more moisture,
as the rain stays away.

The frost is on the pumpkin.
On grass and leaves too.
Leaves turning golden red,
solid now, the frozen dew.

Frost laden grass blades,
blanket the lawn and
crystals in the dirt.
Icy, the feel of the cold
inside my nose,
as I walk the path,
there's cold on my toes.

The nights grow longer,
we are covered with cool air,
which covers our being
and our loved ones, everywhere.
Brightness comes from the East,
as a new dawn, cuts the gloom
while rays of the Sun
fill up the room.

Wind shaped dunes,
roar of the surf,
wait for me.

Smell the salt air,
hear the birds sing,
when the wind blows
the sand will sting.

Pelicans swiftly pass
over the shore,
the cry of the gulls,
are gone, no more.

Abut the morning shadow,
sunlight streaks the edge,
as straws of moisture rise
in cold, cold Fall air.

The smoke-filled haze,
still remains in the trees,
awaiting some rain
with an evening breeze.
It would be great, to
once again breathe

Wind gusts,
slid off the trees,
sending air in streams,
moving fallen leaves.

Bright light and shadows,
fill this mind, mine.
Why is there no rainfall,
and only the sunshine?

Contrasting colors of
browns, yellows and reds,
spread through trees
with leaf covered beds.

A special time,
is in the Fall,
when Nature's beauty,
is seen by all.

Cold Winter's blasts,
will soon be aware,
as most tree branches
will only be bare.
