What is it which is said?
"I've got to slow down
this spending burn."
Spending more money
than you can earn,
will result in much debt,
unless you have money to burn.

Here I am now,
"long in the tooth."
Hair all white,
skin wrinkled too.
Balance is leaving
and taking a friend,
another good reason
to play, "Let's pretend".
Go away. Go away soon,
as this life may be over
before the next moon.

A cat,
a dog,
a brindle cow.
A cat companion.
A dog to herd.
A cow to moo.
That is absurd
and yet,
on this hot, hot day,
all three found
a place to stay.
Cool it was,
out of the Sun,
with food and
water for everyone.

Is it Kismet
or just plain sad?
The hottest day
is on Friday
the thirteenth.

The cat's dander
was in the breeze,
causing my love
to have a sneeze.
A big, Achoo,
came from her head,
a noise so loud,
it could wake the dead.

What kind of words are
hither and yon?
Are they words you say,
for something beyond?
Does hither mean come
again to me,
for if you do not I may flee?
Does the word yon,
mean far away, across the pond,
to a foreign land, once here,
now gone?
Do the words together mean
to wander about aimlessly,
doing it together, simply free?

If you’re a savvy investor like myself, no doubt you’ve been sniffing around the cryptocurrency phenomenon, wondering if it’s time to plunk down some of those 20th Century dollars and trade em in on bitcoins. You might even be wondering what exactly cryptocurrency is, possibly googled it, and undoubtedly come away realizing you haven’t got a clue. But then, what is an Andrew Jackson, really? Just cloth with dyes and inks and watermarks. Worth what it says on the bill if everyone keeps believing it’s real even if no gold is sitting in Ft. Knox to back it up. Economics, a faith based religion?

Cryptocurrency, forget about the gold standard. What you got is blockchain. Okay, I know, you don’t actually understand blockchaining. That’s fine, neither do I and neither do most people who own bitcoins or any other cryptomoney. You just know some economists think this is the future of monetary transactions, safer than greenbacks in your bank account some lowlife hacker can empty faster than you can say Bad Password. Bitcoins, well, their password is unhackable, but … if you forget it, no way can you or the hackers get at it, sorry.

But what you do notice is that bitcoins and their brethren virtual cash move up and down in value the way Apple stocks do, a breathtaking hedge against minimum interest rates on your savings. Now, you could ask yourself, before, hopefully, you convert your life investments and 401-K and the pension to bitcoin, what kind of currency can change value 20% in a day, up, down, you just never know. Would you put your money in a bank that offered the potential to drop in value half overnight?

Well obviously some people would. If it looks like a pyramid scheme and smells like a pyramid scheme and acts like a pyramid scheme, I think you and I know it probably isn’t a real smart investment, it’s just a high tech form of gambling cloaked in crypto-babble. Me, I’d rather bury money out in the yard. Just so long as I don’t lose the map showing where I put it.

Music may soothe,
the most savage of beast
but for me, it's the food:
which are served at a Feast.

I awaken, in the darkest of night,
my body, atremble .
I should arise, to write once more,
but I need the sleep,
of a newborn child,
loud, raucous, wailing away,
saying, "please feed me."

He laughed, as he wrote,
it came deep from the throat.
His personal joke, was a note
written by him; memorized by rote.
Alone am I, stuck in life's boat,
look what happens, when you fail to vote.

Stand and deliver.
A stand of trees
or to stand up,
or stand
if you please.
A night stand.
To stand by
or a fruit stand,
to be or just
stand next to me.
A deer stand
up in a tree.
I understand what
it may be to thee.
To take a stand
and stand for your beliefs.
Stand once more
before you kneel to me.

If a kitten meows,
when in the Mews,
does the owl hoot
and still say who?
If a horse, says neigh,
while the cow says moo
and the pig says oink,
unlike me and you.
If a ewe bleats, baa,
as most of them do,
why does a chicken cluck
when a rooster crows,
why does a crow, caw?
No one knows.
When a duck quacks loudly,
is it because its nose,
is part of its beak?
When a goat starts to bleat,
startling the goose, who honks,
I'm not sure what to say,
when the doves start to coo.
We all make sounds, unique,
so what sounds are common for you?
