Oh Ellie
A Comment by Connie Love
I'd like to hear about it sometime.
Oh Ellie, sweet Ellie,
what do I do now?
You're not here,
what do I do now?
I will always remember,
the day we first met.
Such a humorous scene,
how could I forget?
I awake
finding you not here.
It's then I realized
you passed away,
this past year.
A terrible Christmas
it was for you.
I was saddened,
not knowing what to do.
I love you
more than I can write
as my only wish is
to again hold you tight.
Be my friend,
I ask of you,
for you make me smile,
I love you, too.
I love the sound
of your voice.
I want to celebrate
and to rejoice.
What words, can I write
about the New year,
when I still, look,
to see if you are here.
I miss you more than
my words can say,
for your sweet mile,
You've taken away.
I hope I will
see you once more,
for it is you
I love and adore.
Away we go
for another new year,
filled with hope,
love and good cheer.
When the sunrises,
on a new dawn,
there will be adventures
and a time to move on.
A feeling of longing,
lays within my heart.
Missing her so much,
she was my best part.
I try to remember her,
back at the start.
I do now and have
another ache in my heart.
Wehad a long life together,
which is quite true,
but it makes no difference,
for I still love you.
Words are not flowing,
not as before.
I have no desire,
not anymore.
My Love is gone,
she went out the door.
I won't see you tomorrow,
not anymore.
Can I see her tomorrow?
Can I knock on her door?
You are no longer here,
not anymore.
The love which I care,
lays on the floor.
I won't see you again,
not anymore.
Goodbye my darling,
my spirits won't soar,
for you're no longer here,
not anymore.
Why do I hurt this way?
What can I do, to
mend an aching heart,
knowing you are gone?
I find myself alone,
at the computer desk,
looking at your picture,
when we were in Hawaii.
My heart breaks,
once again.
This morning it
will be one week since you left.
My thoughts about you,
my lovely, sweet bride.
How can I assure,
your always by my side.
The harsh reality
in this life of ours,
you have left me,
going to the stars.
How wonderful,
life would be,
if my lovely wife,
could be with me.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
won't be the same anymore,
for my heart is broken.
So, what's in store?
Look for the good,
look for the door,
don't tell me to trust,
She's not here anymore.
