I can't recall, anytime
in this life of mine,
where my emotions, with others,
became complex and entwined.

But here I sit with heart a beat.
I do not like to receive a scold.
Not saying thank you when you
ask me to buy things, it is old.

Among the people of Memory Care,
words of idiocy may litter the air.
Questions are raised about a loved one,
yet, you know that person is gone.

Here I sit,
in early morning hour,
trying to write words,
for a life gone sour.

Why do things
go wrong for someone good?
I sit and ponder about my wife's
last 10 years, as I should.

Diagnosed with Lung Cancer
in the last part of 2013,
successful treatment, in 2014.
Now she is deemed clean.

No one will say she is cancer free.
They test every year. "In remission."
The words I hear bother me. Then
Early onset dementia. A new Mission.

So I sit here. She is in Memory Care,
with a diagnosis of Dementia-Alzheimer.
What did she do to deserve
ten years of declining health for her?

I can't wait
until the Lilacs bloom,
as the scent of the flower
permeates the sunroom.

The color of purple
flowers in bloom,
will make the season,
and have less gloom.

One year ago a Space Launch System rocket left planet Earth on November 16, 2022 at 1:47am EST carrying the Orion spacecraft on the Artemis I mission, the first integrated test of NASA’s deep space exploration systems. Over an hour after liftoff from Kennedy Space Center's historic Launch Complex 39B, one of Orion's external video cameras captured this view of its new perspective from space. In the foreground are Orion's Orbital Maneuvering System engine and auxillary engines, at the bottom of the European Service Module. Beyond one of the module's 7-meter long extended solar array wings lies the spacecraft's beautiful home world. Making close flybys of the lunar surface and reaching a retrograde orbit 70,000 kilometers beyond the Moon, the uncrewed Artemis I mission lasted over 25 days, testing capabilities to enable human exploration of the Moon and Mars. Building on the success of Artemis I, no earlier than November 2024 the Artemis II mission with a crew of 4 will venture around the Moon and back again.

I believe we knew each other,
so many lives ago. Another time,
another place in a different part
of the World.

I have always been comfortable
around you, even the first day
we met. I felt we had met before.
I don't belive we were married,
but were lovers and knew each
other well.

How many synapses, must there be
for us to have known one another?
Is this compassion which I feel,
when I know nothing about the
cause? Perhaps, it is just another
instance in this Life's pause.

Go forth to see and talk about the
memories you have for you may
find another, who feels the same way.

What a piece of luck,
that I was fortunate to see
a close encounter,
and sit next to thee.

Life can be
a game of chance.
Meeting someone
and then romance.

Not a choice in life
just a twist of fate,
when you arrived
at the party, too late.

Such is life,
more often than not,
for what I had
I no longer have got.

To the grave,
fight this life
and what fate
has brought.

You know the way.
Do it now.
don't wait
make it today.

Where does it state,
our life must be fair?
I'd like to know and
want to be aware.

Nothing will change,
on that you can rely.
Nothing will change
until the day you die.

Will it change for the better
or will it change for the worse?
No one knows except for
he who filled up the hearse.

The crow of a rooster
echos across the farmyard.
Wake up, it says to me,
have breakfast, it won't be hard.

There is always something I like,
when the aroma of a breakfast,
permeates the air once more
and the day starts fast.
