Why was the question.
What was the word?
Awkward the conversation,
some never heard.

The road home,
is blocked with pain,
of our lost memories,
which no longer remain.

Once, was I,
a solid man.
Degradative downgrade,
what I now am.

I've found words I
love to write,
about life's joys
and not for spite.

Hurtful words of
ridicule and distain,
can leave this place,
never to return again.

Write of love
and how we were,
so many years ago,
when we were there

These are the words,
I've always known.
My feelings are out there,
my covers blown.

Someone listened as I told my tale
of how my life came to be.
The daughter of my neighbor,
who was from Arlington, D.C.

We discussed, or I should say I talked,
while she listened to me,
a special moment, feeling well
about our talk, to me, heavenly.

I will not violate the privacy
of our conversation, 'twas good for me.
We were in the Courtyard, where,
there were many flowers we could see.

Time went by slowly but quick
as she listened to me.
My enjoyment, was enlightened,
so, I say, thank you. I love thee

Unlike most entries in Charles Messier's famous catalog of deep sky objects, M24 is not a bright galaxy, star cluster, or nebula. It's a gap in nearby, obscuring interstellar dust clouds that allows a view of the distant stars in the Sagittarius spiral arm of our Milky Way galaxy. Direct your gaze through this gap with binoculars or small telescope and you are looking through a window over 300 light-years wide at stars some 10,000 light-years or more from Earth. Sometimes called the Small Sagittarius Star Cloud, M24's luminous stars fill this gorgeous starscape. Covering over 3 degrees or the width of 6 full moons in the constellation Sagittarius, the telescopic field of view includes dark markings B92 and B93 near center, along with other clouds of dust and glowing nebulae toward the center of the Milky Way.

Days zip by,
quicker than I think.
I'll say this now,

Who puts a word
like love, into play?
A four-letter word,
meaning, have a great day.

I can't say I love you,
because I'm a married man.
What does that mean?
I don't understand.

When love was young,
my mind was new.
All my thoughts of love,
were about you.

Now I'm an elder,
my mind will stay,
as my thoughts of love,
refuse to go away.
