French President Emmanuel Macron, in a speech delivered at the Sorbonne University in Paris, urged Europe to find its own path and warned "That the European Union needs to take bold action to tackle U.S. and Chinese protectionism, and be vigilant of the geopolitical threats from authoritarian regimes or face the death of Europe as a real possibility..."  More at Euronews ➜

My brain is fried,
to a medium well,
as I resume my journey,
to the denizen of Hell.

What do I do, my faith,
has been changed,
while my mind becomes,
slowly deranged?

Bats in the belfry,
a screw loose in my head,
makes me think,
there's no life ahead.

In my heart,
I know it's not true,
for in this life,
I no longer have you.

Loves in the air,
but it isn't for me.
For there is little desire,
not there to see.

I love people, in general,
I know this to be true,
but I don't see love present,
if I don't see you.

What in the world,
was I thinking of?
A new life, with another,
when there wasn't any love.

At least not on my part,
I retreated from there,
for It's not my job,
to go everywhere.

Make me home,
full of love and bliss,
but protect me, Dear Lord,
as I won't share a kiss.

Unless, of course, you,
choose to be,
the love of my life,
that works for me.

NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day:

In northern hemisphere spring, bright star Regulus is easy to spot above the eastern horizon. The alpha star of the constellation Leo, Regulus is the spiky star centered in this telescopic field of view. A mere 79 light-years distant, Regulus is a hot, rapidly spinning star that is known to be part of a multiple star system. Not quite lost in the glare, the fuzzy patch just below Regulus is diffuse starlight from small galaxy Leo I. Leo I is a dwarf spheroidal galaxy, a member of the Local Group of galaxies dominated by our Milky Way Galaxy and the Andromeda Galaxy (M31). About 800 thousand light-years away, Leo I is thought to be the most distant of the known small satellite galaxies orbiting the Milky Way. But dwarf galaxy Leo I has shown evidence of a supermassive black hole at its center, comparable in mass to the black hole at the center of the Milky Way.

No more the fighter,
I was as a boy.
Now a lover of people,
a bringer of joy.

I am for happiness,
for all whom I see,
but I'll write for love,
when I look at thee.

It's 3 o'clock in the a. m.
I am off to bed,
and I'll dream of you,
its already been said.

I love you more,
than words can describe.
It's always a pleasure,
when you are by my side.

Write for me on the morrow.
Write for me today.
Write to me about love,
Which will not go away.

If you write within the window,
of any early, evening moon,
it means you will be with me,
ere tomorrows, noon.

A what if question.
My reply, simple,
as it was, then.

A prolific writer,
who does simple prose,
using Winters physical light.
Costly, I suppose.

What kind of man,
what kind of brain,
would write about others,
while his world would remain.

He was a happy man,
with, a sadness inside,
where memories were born,
after a love had died.

NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day:

Located some 3 million light-years away in the arms of nearby spiral galaxy M33, giant stellar nursery NGC 604 is about 1,300 light-years across. That's nearly 100 times the size of the Milky Way's Orion Nebula, the closest large star forming region to planet Earth. In fact, among the star forming regions within the Local Group of galaxies, NGC 604 is second in size only to 30 Doradus, also known as the Tarantula Nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud. Cavernous bubbles and cavities in NGC 604 fill this stunning infrared image from the James Webb Space Telescope's NIRCam. They are carved out by energetic stellar winds from the region's more than 200 hot, massive, young stars, all still in early stages of their lives.
