One Day
One day the Sun,
began rising in the West.
Understand this new priority.
What happens to the rest?
The world re-oriented
on its plane,
wobbled like a top,
and I became insane.
No rhyme or reason,
for me to see this way,
except when my mind,
detoured and went astray.
I Won't
I won't write again about tomorrow,
a day which may never come,
for it's about one's future,
I, for one, have none.
There will be no more tomorrows,
for me in the weeks to come.
I know not when that will happen,
I simply hope and pray there will be one.
A Piece of Cloth
A piece of cloth.
A piece of rug,
when you need,
you may have a bug.
A small cloth,
I do suppose,
is worth a lot,
when you blow your nose.
Mars: Moon, Craters, and Volcanos
NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day:
If you could fly over Mars, what might you see? The featured image shows exactly this in the form of a Mars Express vista captured over a particularly interesting region on Mars in July. The picture's most famous feature is Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in the Solar System, visible on the upper right. Another large Martian volcano is visible on the right horizon: Pavonis Mons. Several circular impact craters can be seen on the surface of the aptly named red planet. Impressively, this image was timed to capture the dark and doomed Martian moon Phobos, visible just left of center. The surface feature on the lower left, known as Orcus Patera, is unusual for its large size and oblong shape, and mysterious because the processes that created it still remain unknown. ESA's robotic Mars Express spacecraft was launched in 2003 and, among many notable science discoveries, bolstered evidence that Mars was once home to large bodies of water.
Wisteria
Beautiful wisteria,
above the garden gate,
as flowing, golden, colors,
enhanced the landscape.
Water flowerßsc, slowly,
along the garden wall,
where all the flowers,
grow, short or tall.
Should I leave tomorrow,
you won't need to call, just
tell all I love them,
look for me in the mall.
When Yesterday
When yesterday is over,
is that when today begins.
Does that mean tomorrow,
will be an also ran?
Sometimes I Become Confused
Sometimes I become confused.
Unsure if it is the disease.
I know when it happens,
it brings me down to my knees.

Word of the Day 09/09/24: bountiful
Tomorrow
If I can see tomorrow,
a day which may never come,
it would be a blessing,
if it's the day I don't succumb.
For all the promised tomorrows,
there never has been one,
for life doesn't guarantee survival,
or when it's one and done.
