Life is like a flower.
Here today
Gone tomorrow

Away he goes, off to the Sea;
for the Sirens are calling He.
Return to the Islands, so nice.
Come back to this tropical paradise.
Return he must, but not this day,
for here is where he must stay.

Be thankful for what we love.
Pray to the one, high above.
For a belief is the reason
To be thankful this Holiday Season.

The years roll by, this aged life of mine
with past emotions, in my soul entwine.

I remember the first time
I was at your door.
My heart beat was racing,
As I wanted more.
More love from the one
That fate had given me.
One to spend my whole life
Is what would be.

Silvered rays of light
dance across the surface
of the small pond.
Dew drenched Cattails
jutting from the shore.
Green Milfoil lays on the surface,
solid except for the trail of a duck.

Where do you go now
on this journeys end?
Do you seek loneliness or
time spent with a friend?

A ray of light from above
Falls softly, upon my love.
The Moon, a pale shade of blue,
Sends all it's love down to you.
Enjoy the moment, while you can
For the life we know but don't understand.

The path, that I once did tread,
covered now with leaves all dead.
A path, both narrow and sometimes wide
we could walk until evening tide.
A path young people could meet,
now muffled with shuffling feet.
A most beautiful ground in the park,
sheltered with tree limbs and trunk bark.
Now on this site, this Winter's day,
no invitation needed, just stay away.

The blanket of wet leaves
lying upon the cold ground,
will nourish all the new growth
that will soon abound.

My thoughts do ramble so
and words are stop or go,
as I write as quick as I can;
Not from fear but rather than
to let out feelings, deep inside.
Some that I won't hide
away from friends and family
but to stay as close as I can be.
