Up ahead in the fading light
appears a person, quite unlike
anyone I have seen before.
Eyes of blue, crooked smile,
a stranger, strolling, down
the path to Lord knows where,
it was then, I became aware,
she was tall and lithe,
so unlike those I know.
As I drew closer,
I heard a sound. Melodious
to my ear, a catchy tune,
in an Alto tone, which
reminded me of an old
friend of mine, who passed
away, some time ago.
I started to say hello,
but she kept walking like
she knew this land and
been here before.
I'll always remember this
sight for she was another
one who was looking around
to find her way, into the town.
Blue the eyes, gold the hair
I miss seeing you and your
bright smile.

It was OK,
except when
it wasn't.
No harm.
No foul.
What have
we become,
when courtesy
to others
is passe?
Do we no
longer trust
one another?
Has it gotten
so bad,
we no
longer care?

What hath
love wrought,
under the guise
of infatuation?
Emotions on
full alert,
as actions
cause a hurt.
Another scar
in the age
old story
of life
and death.
I will
always
love you,
until my
last
dying breath.

Alone, he was,
within a crowd.
He spoke softly,
never was loud.
It was his
polite manner,
which distracted
from within,
his burning desire,
to succeed,
however, he
wanted to
be liked.
A contrarian
business model,
"You must be
short, don't
fraternize with
your coworkers"
at this he failed,
but he was happy.

A cry,
A wail,
A request
For love,
Come from
Others Far
From here.

All the wrong reasons,
were hung out to dry.
There weren't any seasons,
no reason to try.
Wasting your breath,
as you didn't know why,
Swallow your pride,
don't think about telling a lie.

Ask me your questions
the next time we meet,
as I need to re-charge
my brain to a level,
I am unfamiliar with.
A simple task for a
too simple mind.
I'm sorry. I don't
wish to be critical,
of my love on display.
It's a colorful choice,
as some have said before,
in utter dismay.

I toss the die,
I roll the cubes,
for when I gamble,
I usually lose.

Clearly the day
had gone awry.
Abusive language,
now came into play.
Not funny,
in the typical sense.
Words being said,
not making sense.
Tempers flare
as annoyance begins,
in a small argument,
no one wins.

Low the light
in the forest,
so near,
step with care,
as you enter
the Glade
and your reward
will be a promise made.
