Life is a game.
Run rabbit, run.
Don't lose your courage,
life has just begun.

Dancing alone,
all by myself,
missing you
in my arms.

You talk of things, uninformed,
professing they are true.
Get all the facts before you talk,
not the untruths, like you do.

From out the midst,
of the maddening crowd,
a new voice was heard,
no substance, just loud.

Trying to be seen,
trying to be heard,
searching for a friend.
Now alone, how absurd.

Cast off my feelings,
for it's what you do.
No truth with you,
I care not,
I'll seize the day.

Seize the day,
take back the night.
I may be slow,
but my minds all right.

Words, again fly
from my brain.
Is it too late,
did I miss the train?

Write about topics, current
and the words used today,
sometimes aren't apparent,
meanings can run away.

Slanting rays of topaz,
floating through the air,
promises salvation,
removing the despair.

Why are some people, contrarians,
always seeking an argument,
taking time from others,
without paying life's rent.

There is nothing free, in this World
and there may never be.
Even "free love"
is never cheap or free.

So long tomorrow.
Goodbye yesterday.
What happens today,
When you've gone away?

When angels sing,
their voices sweet,
what a divine,
heavenly treat.

Lest you think
your lost,
in a heavenly abode,
remember love is no cost.

Wooden fence rails,
as far as I could see.
Bleached by the Sun,
How long could it be?

Miles and miles
of wooden fence rail,
impressive it was.
It might never fail.

A beautiful fence,
my looking didn't tire.
Thank the lord,
They didn't use barbed wire.

Barbed wire, the great
ruiner of jeans,
one rip from it,
you had new seams.

Am I losing my mind?
Can it possibly be,
I'm losing my grip
on my own sanity?
