You are an enigma
and have me confused,
for when I speak,
I seem to offend you.

"Don't tell me what I like,"
you said to me,
in a snappy way.
Oops, I'll let it be.

I talk over people
was another refrain.
I'll have to plead guilty,
though it caused me pain.

It's a way we talk
where I come from.
If you didn't speak,
your words wouldn't come.

I am sorry if these
words which I say,
cause you distress,
I'll just go away.

Please stay with me,
at least for a time,
I need you always,
to stay and be mine.

If I say, I love you,
would you run or flee,
never to look back,
never to see,

my heart now broken,
into glass, colored red.
I know you understand,
I'm touched, in the head.

Crazy I am,
when thinking of thee.
I'll love you tomorrow,
then set you free.

Come dance with me,
like water will flow,
smooth to the ocean,
we couldn't let go.

Stay here forever,
don't go away.
Stay with me now,
here I will stay.

It was a day in Spring,
we hadn't met yet.
So many years,
so much to forget.

Our life's memories
she remembers not,
Only my dreams,
can't be forgot.

A river rose,
a dance began,
this the story
of a lonely man.

Rivers rise
from spring melt,
dances can start,
when heart felt.

Forbidden the venue,
don't talk about that.
Why do you pursue a question,
when the answer will be flat?

Should you gambol,
when you gamble,
if you win a lot?
Or should you ramble,

around the city
while gamboling
in a friendly way?
Who cares, not I.

Raging the river,
thick with mud,
rich nutrients,
it's not a flood.

Carrying plants,
barges with bales,
rolling onward to
new cotton sales.

Shipping goods
via railway track,
a change in how
new goods are back.

Sunlit water
Moonlit sky
Deepening shadows
Saying goodbye.

How can you ignore,
the care of another?
They are not strangers,
nor sisters or brothers.

Step forward to be,
counted by all,
be they short
or exceptionally tall.
