After the night,
comes the dawn.
My life has become,
one, huge yawn.

Should I be sorry,
or just be sad?
Better be a Boy Scout,
that would be rad.

Words are flowing,
as if my bank broke,
so, scribble I will,
it's not a joke.

Do you now know?
Can you understand,
I'm no longer strong,
but still hear the band.

Find a flaw,
in the words, I write.
Tell me, please,
are the words too trite?

Here we go,
one more time
with feelings,
love sublime.

Tell me true,
say it today.
If you don't,
I may go away.

My love for you,
is strong with feeling.
Not having your memories,
has my mind reeling.

Forget me now,
would be best
for you.
It's not a test.

We can be many things,
in this life of ours.
Pick something worthwhile,
not measured in hours.

Do you remember,
when we first met?
We were both young,
my ears were still wet.

Now, here we are,
after so many years
and our well-being,
is full of cheers.

What about virtue?
He claims it is his.
He's not an expert,
perhaps, he's a brain whiz.

It's all about business,
it's not about you.
Don't take it personal,
just ask, what? Who?

They shoved me into the breech,
no questions asked, no approval given.
Why am I in the place,
one of hate, not being forgiven?

I don't believe,
I want to know,
but what happens,
when I have to go,

away from this place,
of sadness and woe.
Tell me please,
for I don't know.

Ahoy, the ship,
sailing in the night.
How do you run,
without a light?

Light may come,
in daylight, bright,
or with lanterns,
during the night.

Should you be,
where you are?
Does it matter,
if near or far?

Long before I knew you,
well before then,
you were always there.
You're a good friend.

So many years have passed,
since I first met you,
I find in my heart
I still wonder who,

could leave you alone
when there was a need,
to help you through this life,
and make you happy, indeed.

My toes were cold,
in the sand
on the beach,
Cannon Beach land.

Sound of "gulls",
in the air.
They were,
everywhere.

Crashing of waves,
with sea spray.
No wonder, I love,
this getaway.

My words lay,
lodged, in my head,
some words, worried,
not being said.

I'll read these tonight,
to find the reason here,
it's not important,
only that they are near.

I love using words,
which comes to my mind.
Thank you, God,
for being this kind.

There may be a proverb,
stuck in my head.
It's best to keep living
and avoid being dead.
