Through a pane of a window,
I see the pain in your heart.
Why must you suffer,
as we're pulled apart?

I will love you forever,
as I have from the start,
looking through a window,
when it's time to part.

All the words in the World,
can't make this right.
Now I am spoiled,
awaiting a new fight.

Please do not tell me,
everything will be alright,
for those are words,
causing a sleepless night.

Here I sit,
deep in thought,
digging out words,
those which I bought.

Playing with words,
trying to rhyme,
takes imagination,
takes much time.

Happy birthday to my
dear cousin, Ken, who
was one week older than me.
He passed away after being
hit at an unmarked RR crossing,
60 plus years ago. He was
21 years old. God speed, cousin.

Top of the tree
Placed a large star.
A brightness seen
Near and far.

Alone in my heart
is a place for you.
I cannot see thee
or say that I do.

Lights twinkling,
reflection on glass,
a beautiful sight,
for a Christmas Mass.

I hear music,
a melodious sound,
a chorale of voices,
musical notes abound.

Sounds of the voices,
all in the choir,
are the sounds I love,
for me they inspire.

To do better now,
not stuck in the race
and for this year,
put on my Happy Face.

When I am old
and gone away,
will you remember
when you pray?

A skiff of snow,
for a few minutes.
Nothing more
Now it's clear,
I wait,
patiently for thee.

I tire of writing
of sadness.
I will try to write
of joyfulness.
Write songs,
of love.
Write odes
of promise.
Write verse
of memories.
Write poetry
of life.

A radiant beauty
but an enigma
to me.
One to bring marvel,
to me.
Hard to approach or,
to see,
why she was enigmatic
to me.

A passion for life,
a desire to see,
yet here we are,
no travels for we.
