What a thrill, it was
seeing you today.
I was lost for words,
what could I say.

Thank you for the Orchid,
very pretty and white.
A gift from you,
made this day a delight.

You light up my world,
when ever your near.
Life has new meaning
when you appear.

Lonely am I,
for you I miss
embracing you while
missing your kiss.

What are the words,
saying this too?
My favorite one,
I'm loving you.

I will love you always,
I told you I would.
Separated by Dementia,
words are misunderstood.

Harvesting stars
from the skies up above,
is a new journey
for the one I love.

A trail of glory
up in the sky,
for my true love,
I must try.

Diamonds of brilliance
are gems I see.
Collecting, my role,
gathering for thee.

Your always be away,
not too near or far.
I will reap a bounty
for I love who you are.

Will we ever be
at a place in time,
where it becomes
a basic courtesy,
to love another,
without the stigma,
of presumed guilt
of infidelity?

I laid next to you,
almost every night.
I no longer can do that
and thus is my plight.

I miss you so much,
my life is a fright.
How will I survive,
not seeing you at night?

Oh, what a joy.
Oh, what a sight,
Seeing an old friend,
when out last night.

I went out, alone,
all by myself.
The first time in years,
being my jolly old self.

Off to the VFW
for music and drink,
on best behavior,
that's what I think.

Music was playing
and I listened more,
as many couples
were on the dance floor.

I didn't dance,
didn't want to,
unless it was with my
beloved, that's you.

If I told you,
I'm leaving tomorrow
and shan't return,
because of the sorrow.

Would it be upsetting,
if I asked to borrow,
more words of sadness,
until the next morrow?

The love you have given,
is being taken away.
Life appears to be over,
while I hope and pray.

Please let me be.
Don't tell me it's good,
for of all the words,
I want not to be misunderstood.

Talk about tomorrow
Which may never come.
Recalling memories
Before they succumb.

I will write prose
of verse, sonnets and thing
of love's sweet emotions,
which makes my heart sing.

Sing of the love for
my mother and friend.
Sing of a love,
which will never end.

After my time is past,
here no longer, gone,
my words will still
be, the lyrics of a song.

When I see you,
my tongue gets in the way.
I can't find enough words,
for once again to say.

I love you,
more than I should.
