most certainly do,
when I write about,
my love for you.

You are my heart,

you are my wife,

Life was good,
nothing to do.
We met
and became, two.

Years went by,
we moved a few
times, in the years.
We had boys, two.

Now life, has passed,
after a sickness or two.
No longer me and you.

You live alone,
I am alone, too,
but we still say,
I love you.

Perhaps it, is,
I wouldn't know.

While I love,
I still won't stay,
when my true one,
tells me to go away.

Must I wait for you,
after all these years?
Must I keep smiling,
when shedding tears?

Wish I could,
with all my might,
be with you,
all day and night.

You are my star,
the only one.
I am yours,
'til my life is done.

What kind of fool,
do you think, I'd be,
if I gave up,
with no fuss, silently?

Should I leave?
Should I go?
At this moment
I do not know.

No name exists,
it isn't so,
for me to leave,
when she says no.

Running hard,

Remembering, my first,
County Fair.
Music was playing,
loud, everywhere.
The aromas of food cooking,
a scent filled air.
Pronto Pups,
Elephant Ears,
Onions grilling,
Corn on the cob
steaming, lathered
in butter.
Great memories,
stimulate the senses.

Do you not
know me?
Can you call,
me by name?

If life was fair,
then it's not.
Would you care,
about another's lot?

When love has,
lost its bloom,
will you still be
waiting in another room?

Waking from a deep sleep,
clearing cobwebs, from my head,
is what one becomes,
when sleeping like the dead.
