In thinking about the lost sweetness of
my beloved. I share this with you.

She wore a tattered shirt,
untucked, outside her jeans,
with her scuffed boots, size 8,
she was a vision of casual attire.

Her smile, someone once said,
would light up a dark room.
Ah, the memories of those days,
lingers and will be with me forever.

What part of Nature allows some of
our fellow travelers to take on the
personification of beauty, which was,
coupled with an enticing personality?

I will never know. I was left with these,
memories which will remain with me,
until the sky is no longer blue and
the Sun stops warming my life's blood.

"It will be fun," he said.
"Really? said I.
Another Marathon,
I thought I would die.

So run we did,
down Portland Oregon, way.
Weather was great,
another wonderful running day.

I sit alone,
my Love's in mind.
Aside from my leaking eyes,
I am missing her and find,

my need to see her,
is present every day.
I'm in a vacuum,
a game I wish not to play.

Would,
if I could,
be with you,
tonight.

Well, that ain't happening,
so, leave me alone.
I need room to breathe,
before I'm ready and done.

Please understand,
when I'm writing alone,
It's not aways about me,
which I wish to discuss,
it's about others,
who get in a rush.

It becomes obvious to others
and quite obvious to me.
Please give me some time,
is now my earnest plea.

My love
has been gone,
four weeks, today.
I am alone.

I miss your sweet smile,
for you were the one,
who captured my heart,
my soul to the Sun.

Why do I worry,
now you've gone away?
Your no longer here,
while here I must stay.

Please guide me
in this new life of mine,
while I will remember
our memories entwine.

I love where I am.
It's the right place for me.
There is so much love here.
It's not about I, it's about we.

What a pleasure it was,
seeing the light in your eyes.
To hold and caress you,
then to hear your sighs.

What happened,
to upset our happy day,
for it disappeared
and went away.

I am heart broken
and this way I'll stay,
until the grief passes
and I've learned to pray.

I miss you so.
I do every day.
Deep is my sorrow,
since you went away.

What a price to pay for
what sorrow will bring,
my heart will no longer sing.

Thoughts of redemption,
from deepest memory,
crawls from the darkened
corners, which I cannot see.

What must I do to remain,
true to the vows I made,
so many years ago,
when you were my lovely maid?
