Small,
round,
wobbly,
its shape.
Chewing
on something,
stuck to
its thumb.
I became
apparent, it
was a
stick of gum.
It was tall
and spotted
with colors,
the likes
of a clown.
The merriest Soul
in this
World renown.

Please, don't run and hide.
I am lonely. It's me.
I mean no harm, let's walk.
I really need someone to
talk to about Life's stories of woe.
Will you please not say no?

I hope, I do not fall any further
into this depression, gripping me.
Think positive thoughts, you will find
the best part. Don't feel sorry for me.

My brain is fried
like a piece of burnt toast,
I need to pray to the lord
and the Holy Ghost.

Last night I espied
the moon in its glory.
Peeking through trees
jumbled up branches,
which breaks up the view.

Why does my mind,
have a memory of you"
Are you my light,
the brightest of stars?

No matter what happened,
I'll know who you are.
You are in Memory Care,
and my tears are at war.

The World lay
in deep aplomb,
concerned about
an Atomic Bomb.

A nuclear war,
might soon come.
Build bomb shelters,
so, you don't succumb.

Stock it with rations
and supplies galore,
by making a run
to your local store.

How many bombs
did they drop?
How many threats
until we say STOP!

I am a positive person
who finds myself in the
depth of depression. Every
place I go I miss my wife's presence.
I'm lost and uncertain if I
want to be found.

A resident passed away,
an Angel wept, in sadness.
There is a new resident,
experiencing joy, in Heaven today.

You could hear the grumble,
in all the voices a jumble,
flowed out of the jungle.
Someone outside did mumble,
what is this noise which is a bumble?
Be it proud or so humble,
to stay here, while we crumble,
down the hill, we did tumble,
so, this is where we belong

Build you defenses,
fortify the wall.
Risk not your friendship,
you cannot have it all.

Don't be alarmed
at the words which I write,
as I find myself
lonely at night.

The words aren't an
invitation to a dance,
just a lonesome old man,
not looking for romance.

Someone to talk to,
frequently or occasionally,
a platonic relationship,
between you and me.

Of thee, I often think,
when I sing.
About our life's journey when
I gave you your ring.

So many memories,
this does bring
and it causes,
my heart to sing.
