Pain
A Comment by Loy
Beautiful poem, although in my view, you have been a very loving, caring and supportive husband who was dedicated to your vows.
Pain in my chest,
a feeling of sinking,
has given me flutters.
No, I'm not drinking.
Did I do enough,
in caring for you?
Please God,
What do I do?
I've seen death before,
when my father went,
but this moment in time,
is feeling much different.
Where do I go?
Please tell me how,
I continue to live,
after failing my wedding vow?
I feel I have failed,
my life's task.
How do I know,
Who do I ask?
I loved to run.
I loved to play.
Ability now gone,
My loves gone away.
Who we love, in life
is a precious token.
Life is great,
if it remains unbroken.
What happens when
You say your through?
Life's journey ends,
then you start anew.
When her last breath flys out of her mouth like a bird, everythhing ends, Nothing to be seen. nothing to be heard. You and your loved ones will feel pain and sorrow. waiting for the days to ease the pain with the remaining time that we all come to borrow. Then one day you see that little bird fly out in the sun singing, happy as it can be,. as if to let you know all is well love, i’m waiting fo... Read More
When the God in Heaven opens
his arms for you,
and enfolds them around,
it happens quickly, no sound.
Rest in peace, my beautiful bride,
it won't be long and I'll be beside
you once more.
After much stress
And living in strife,
I'm letting you know
Of the passing of my wife.
Sadly at 8:22 this morning. RIP my sweet one.
Am I a writer?
There's a thought.
Am I a novelist?
I think naught.
I enjoy writing,
words which I do.
If they cause thought,
then I do too.
Words which I used
to write this way,
may last awhile
or just go away.
What loss love?
What to do now.
You don't know me,
I will fulfill my vow.
Roaming through the years of life,
passing by stress and strife,
what they do, make a choice,
go with gusto, use your voice.
Thoughts run, throughout my head,
why are most of my classmates dead?
Have I lived a sheltered life,
so, I could stay to protect my wife?
I do not know. Nary a clue,
so, I am confused on what to do.
Abandon all who came with me
or just retire into my senility.
The bells of the chapel,
swayed in the breeze,
pealing out the message,
It's now Christmas Eve.
Long were the months,
which came in between,
as we approached
a Christmas scene.
Once more, with gusto,
I will move toward
a new beginning,
not drawing my sword.
The wayward tale of a love gone astray,
in this large World in which we live.
There will always be temptations, which
arise, which challenge us to use good
judgement, involving issues of trust and
moral fortitude.
We are all human. We know our weaknesses.
We have our strengths. We are the same
and yet we are different in how we deal with
the issues we face during this life.
The decisions made set us up to be good
or someone who needs guidance.
