Maybe, someday, I will
tell you, who I am.
I hope you are not surprised
or disappointed,
by what you hear.

Don't talk to me with your tale of woe.
Don't talk to me of gin.
Don't lecture me, before I go,
don't talk to me of sin,
unless, of course, you realize,
it's with you, I'll first begin.

Rain falling, covering the earth
with it's mystic ointment,
bringing life.
The rain is natures way
of cleansing,
a shower that makes everything
it touches, fresher.
Rain is life.
Sometimes I hate the rain
because it interferes with
my planning,
like a picnic
or a walk in the sun.

I have known the
softness of your shoulder,
the whisper of your sighs.
I have joined you
in laughter and
when the fire dies,
know that I will stay
with you forever,
or at least, until sunrise.

Do the loves of man,
match those of a woman?
Do those who love,
lose their lovers?
Do friends and relations,
ever fight for nations,
other than their own?
Do people quarrel because
of hate or just from fear?
Do people weep,
because of sadness?
Do those who die,
quit on living?
I wish I knew!

Let me sip the nectar
from a hundred silver cups,
and taste the honey,
produced by the bee.
Let me live today, as if,
tomorrow will never come.

Let me share my love,
with a stranger and
after I have loved,
with no remorse or sorrow.

Perhaps, all the love I've shared,
will bring a new tomorrow,
with a bright beginning,
for in loving, you will find,
another day for living.

It doesn't matter
what you say
or what you do,
I want you to remember
I'm still in love with you.

Wind swept waters, passing
over rock and sand.
Sea fresh scent, rising
from the misty spray
of waves, pounding.

Wetness clings,
to limbs of trees,
reflecting sunlight
on mirrored surfaces.

Seagulls passing,
cast their shadows
on the sand.
Mournful crying,
always watchful,
for natures offering.

Without a moon or star above,
I stand, in darkness, alone.
My thoughts are splashed with color
that comes, not from my eye.
Your face as I remember,
floats airily in space,
as tender springtime breezes blow
the hair from off your face.
Your eyes flash with eternal light
of loves unfilled claim
and flecks of sorrow, can be seen
for the man who has a name,
that you cherish.
He will stand, eternally alone,
in the blackest void,
knowing not of missing love
from one who waits to see,
a smile of recognition.

Memories are etched into my brain,
seeing your lovely face,
dampened by fallen rain
and I remember.

I can't get you out of my head,
for your presence, overwhelms me.
I like being around you
but can't stand being away.
Please love me today,
we can work the nights out,
later.

You come to me with questions
and grin from ear to ear
but when I say words to you,
you say I didn't hear.
Your light, infectious laughter,
when you're having fun,
makes me very happy,
that I call you my sons.
