When I see you
and you're with me,
I remember our life
as it used to be.

I know your face.
I know your name.
I know that you
Can't say the same.

Words now appear
in a great bunch.
Follow me now,
as I have a hunch,
that Fall arrives,
as it always will do,
perhaps there will be
a Big Surprise for you.

For all that you see,
during this long, dark night.
Save your opinion until
dawns early light.
No one cares about you.
Get that part straight.
Keep your thoughts to yourself
and please don't pontificate.

The conversations with the Sunfall,
are the hardest for me to recall.
You ask so many questions of me
and expect an answer. I see
the frustration that dwells in your eyes.
I can only guess; then a surprise,
for many questions, I've heard before,
so I need to recall answers no more.

Standing here.
Getting dizzy.
What the heck
Is a "Tin Lizzy?"
The first Model T,
Owned by Mr. Ford.
Oh, now I see.

The sound of music
floats through the trees.
I hear your voice;
So sweetly you sing.
The melodious sound
of the music I hear,
reminds me of times
when I called you dear.
Will those years return
back to thee?
I suppose they will,
when you are with me.

Day slowly fades to black.
Moonless sky; Stars all bright,
on this, the darkest night.
Streaking comets, satellites too,
a most remarkable sight to view.

In fullest Sun;
not a bit shady
is where I spied
this Pink Lady.

Oh give me a break,
just this one time.
Provide me with words,
that I know will rhyme.

Words that fall with a clatter,
down to the floor.
Why does it matter?
If the words that I write
are meaningful or simply just trite.
Please God, just let me sleep,
once through the long night.

I know it sounds dumb
and childish to say,
but I am saying to you,
take your ball, go away.
You are not liked around here
and no one will play.
You're a wretch of a man
who has lost his way.

There is no law.
There is no rule.
There is nothing like
being an Old Fool.

Affairs of the heart,
breaks not the rule,
when falling in love,
like an Old Fool.

There is no future here,
it's plain to see,
just a friendly relationship,
with a Fool like me.

What do you do,
when that does appear?
Keep your friendship,
while holding it dear.
