Yet you run from
me, with feet afleet,
knowing I can not
handle my defeat.
Love is blind,
this much I know
but pride can cause
an Ego's fall.

For naught the word
said in jest,
For time is gone,
our memories rest.

From early times
of life's travails
comes a dawning
of the experiences,
comprising a life's work.

Forlorn the wind
In dead of night,
Moving the mind
Changing the plight
Of others who
Worry. Wrong or right.

Is it even a word,
Inanity?
Meaning of questions
About where thy
Must be.
Believing you are
What you see on TV.
Question after question
Until you can't see
Suffocation is first
Then it is insanity.

Forth came the wind,
forced through the light,
anguishing those souls,
afraid of the night.

A Light crescendo
at break of dawn.
I take a breath
stifling my yawn.

The night approaches
on tippy toe feet,
as the Sun gives up
making its retreat.

For loss of wife,
there is no cure.
Nothing to do over,
can't take a pill.

What light gleams
on a cloudy day?
Oh, it's the Sun,
hip, hip, hooray.

Eyes glazed over
once more,
as questions repeat,
about buildings next door.

I see your face
and then a smile,
giving me a feeling
of your unique style.
A smile, gracious, I am
just a little smitten
by the lovely Bulgarian.
