He went West,
towards the rain.
He ached all over,
racked with pain.

Wait one minute,
let me explain,
at the worst it was,
an ankle sprain.

Acting up,
was his style.
Watching him,
made me smile.

I'm trying hard,
to break away.
To still see you,
in a less painful way.

It hurts, so much,
for nothing I do,
can keep my love,
away from you.

When Worlds collide,
what will happen to,
all the broken pieces?
Is there enough glue?

Will there be litigation?
Who will we sue?
Be careful now,
it maybe you.

When will we know,
what must we do?
Perhaps eat a dinner
of vegetable stew.

May the goal,
you have today,
remain yours forever,
plus one more day.

My heart is broken,
I cannot weep,
for I must get,
a good night's sleep.

I write these words,
of meaningless trite,
as I lack talent,
it's what I write.

A gloomy, wet, rainy day,
greets us in the morning.
Sidewalks wetted,
by falling rain,
dark clouds, low to ground,
is depressing, to Sun lovers.

I wish I knew,
most certainly do,
when I write about,
my love for you.

You are my heart,
you are my soul,
you are my wife,
you are my all.

He said, "Don't mince words,"
as he shaved his chin.
"If you do, oh
the trouble you're in.

"Don't parse words,
when in a crowd,
unless, of course,
you want them loud."

"If you think,
you are in control,
you best think again,
re-examine your role."

When words I write,
come out to play,
thoughts keep coming.
What do I say?

There are no thoughts,
on this day,
except my cramped hand,
telling them to go away.

Life was good,
nothing to do.
We met
and became, two.

Years went by,
we moved a few
times, in the years.
We had boys, two.

Now life, has passed,
after a sickness or two.
No longer me and you.

You live alone,
I am alone, too,
but we still say,
I love you.

"Grief is love"
a titled book states.
Perhaps it, is,
I wouldn't know.

While I love,
I still won't stay,
when my true one,
tells me to go away.

Must I wait for you,
after all these years?
Must I keep smiling,
when shedding tears?
