A question arises,
in my mind.
Am I about to go
off the deep end?

No longer can I continue
the facade of pretend,
of what I no longer am,
to be strong is my want,
to perform until the end.

My love for you
grows stronger
in every way.

Of all the Roses,
which bloom, in May,
you are the one
I think of most.

When the light falls
at day's end,
you will always be
my absolute best friend.

When the Sun shines
through the morning dew,
I will be remembering
the beauty of you.

Of all those I know,
you are my heart,
brightening my soul.
I love you.

Remembering you,
Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Through all the years,
You are the best of all.

Missing thee so,
the sound of your voice,
your smiling eyes,
makes my heart rejoice.

What cost love,
what cost, indeed.
love wanted by most,
others still need.

My brain
missed the train
to sanity.
Odd the thoughts,
which pervades the anatomy.
Where does it end?

A thousand-yard stare,
I see in her eyes.
She knows me not,
then she sighs.

Where have you been?
How did you arrive?
I was afraid,
you were not alive.

The pain I hear,
in her voice, for me,
is one I do not
want to hear or see.

Why has her life,
gotten so hard?
Her life, slivered,
just a shard,

of what we enjoyed,
year after year.
Another valued memory,
has disappeared.

Once upon a time,
in a land,
West of In Between,
there lived an
old man, who was nice,
and seldom was he mean.

He had no wife or
children, of which we knew.
If he did, they were inside
his dream.

He loved to talk, a lot
to all those he met,
but only in his dreams,
for he lived a lonely life,
in the land West of In Between.

The Sun would shine,
throughout the day
and rain was seldom seen,
for life was pleasant, in the
land West of In Between.

Animals played amongst
the fields, so wide and green,
as life was somewhat odd,
in the land, West of In Between.

What words could I write,
about someone, who wasn't mean,
who wasn't heavy, or thin to see,
perhaps he was just in between.

Stories he told about,
his life's work and his constant dream,
was to be the leader, in the
land, West of In Between.

I had an unexpected request yesterday.
I was asked to write little odes to include
in envelopes for the mothers residing
at this Facility.
Such an honor.
I wrote about nineteen separate vignettes.
I am in the process of handwriting
on personal cards with envelopes.
I you are interested in seeing them
I will print them tomorrow.

The Sun is out this morning,
no apparent wind
or Spring breeze.
No wafting wind,
shaking the trees.

I have walked this path
of life before,
of hidden byways,
shady nooks, and more.

Do you remember,
those moments past,
when we thought
our memories would always last?

I discovered last night,
my beloved, knows how to punch.
5 jabs to the left ribs.
Fortunately, she has no power.
This morning a staff member,
asked my why, my right eye was
black. Don't recall getting hit in
the face but anger escalated quickly.
I wish I knew what I did which she
didn't like as I tire of getting hit and
sworn at. I know she won't remember.
I am a grown man, so these things
shouldn't affect me, but they do.
I am not upset, just saddened.
I do still love her

Shameful behavior, of a lost soul.
Could I be strong handling this quest?
Searching for all to see,
I must find only the best.

If I tell you tomorrow,
about the love's lost,
will you tell me stories,
no matter the cost?
