The sound of the wind,
roars in my ears.
The breaking of branches,
heightens my fears.

A storm at this moment,
is not all right.
for I need you now
to hold me tight.

The light flickers
off and then on.
Is this a sign that
you are now gone?

I hope and I pray
this is not the case,
but life's disappointment
slaps me in the face.
