Hopes and Dreams

The hopes and dreams of yesterday
are no longer here,
for the memories of a loved one,
have totally disappeared.

I talk to my beloved,
as she tries to say,
words no longer with her,
missing on this day.

My eyes well up,
when I see
the saddened missing,
which is now she.
