Words,
the most powerful
of each day.
Words can make life easier.
Words can take pain away.
Words can be hurtful,
so be careful what you say.
Be kind to one another,
for you know not what occurs
in another's life or action.
Be a blessing not a curse.

You are only slowed
on your life's journey
by the obstacles you
put in your own way.

Forever the night.
A good time for bed.
A moments reflection
of my words, said.

Forever is never,
it's in your head.
Say something wrong,
your declared dead.

Dead to the social life,
nevermore to be,
happy in your life,
according to she.

Drain your daily sorrow.
Do it every day.
There will be a better morrow,
and we can be on our way.

Spread the light, brightly,
bringing it out today.
Lighten your world
with friendship
every wakening day.
Be the light of goodness,
you are entitled and may
do what's best for others
just don't get in the way.

Author's note: Although I normally attempt to write a humorous story - after all this IS a humor website - every now and then I choose to write something serious, from the heart. This is one of those situations. - TEJ
This is the 100% true story of my wife's and my adoption stories. Our two daughters, now all grown up, joined our family roughly one year apart, when we traveled to China on two separate occasions to adopt. Read about the powerful experience that I never could have imagined would have happened to me, and which changed my life forever, in a profoundly positive way - twice.

Love must be gone from here.
No touching or feeling with hands.
No consoling or hearing a request,
when hearing others soft demands.

When the World
is at your door,
knocking once
but no more,
you must select,
your own place,
if you belong to
the Human Race.

Love is elusive,
running to hide.
Love should always
be by your side.

A word,
absurd,
not today,
for using
the word
will get in
the way
of believing,
Lifes good,
continuing to stay,
where love's
inner meaning
protects you,
through the
arduous day.

When will we learn
not everyone is nice?
When will we learn,
to heed good advice?

Listen to others who,
know more than you.
Evaluate other sources
is smart to do.

Compile all data you
have heard and read.
You will have your answer,
Twill be in your head.

Work not today,
time to play a new song.
String out your words,
while gathering along
life's beautiful days,
before they're over and gone.
